Over the month of April:

• 44 new people from 16 countries
• 19 people granted protected person status
• 532 unique appointments covering everything from starting a refugee claim to finding housing to celebrating being reunited with family members

Speaking of Celebration! This is what your generosity does!

• 15 people were approved for Canada’s protection in April
• One of those people began their claim in July 2018. Having the same caseworker for the almost 5-year journey made it an especially meaningful celebration!

REFUGEE RIGHTS DAY AT THE WALPER!

We had a cozy event filled with beautiful music, riveting stories, big hearts, children’s laughter, wonderful food, and some great discussion about what it means to T.H.R.I.V.E.

COMPASS is partnering with 3x Juno Award winners and 2022 Cannes Festival Film winner Sultans of String to screen their Visual Album. A live Q & A with some of these amazing artists will follow immediately after the film.
